The 2016 Reserva. a tank sample (out of barrel. final blend) when seen. will be released shortly after this article appears. An old-vines (70 years) field blend. it was aged for 20 months in 30% new French oak. Beautifully focused and balanced. this has subtle concentration and a fresh feel. The flavors are a little obscured by the new wood in its youth. but that will be easily absorbed. Then. it tightens persistently on the finish and shuts down hard. This is the one built to reward cellaring in the lineup. You should be prepared to give it a few years of rest. There were 6.500 bottles produced.
