The 2017 Brunello di Montalcino Le Raunate opens to a darkly saturated appearance with aromas of blackberry or cherry preserves. This 6,000-bottle production is fermented in oak and later aged in tonneaux, resulting in a medium to full-bodied approach with a generous, creamy texture.

This remains fresh and focused despite coming from a hot vintage, with plenty of plum and cherry character alongside walnuts and dried flowers. Medium- to full-bodied. Layered with tannins and a lovely finish. Drinkable but better in two or three years.
Bruce Sanderson für den Wine Spectator (im Juni 2022):
Perfumed and spicy, this red features macerated cherry, plum and sandalwood aromas and flavors. Quickly firms up, with a compact finish revealing tobacco, earth and spice elements. Best from 2024 through 2042.
