Lots of ripe red and black fruits, graphite, espresso roast, and tobacco emerge from the 2022 Château Du Cartillon, a medium to full-bodied, structured wine that brings lots of character and quality but is going to need short-term cellaring.

The cumulative rainfall at Château Fieuzal was only 385 millimeters in 2022, compared to 753 millimeters in 2021 and 743 millimeters in 2020. But this did not prevent Stephen Carrier and his team from making a fresh and energetic 2022 de Fieuzal, bursting with aromas of violet, iris, menthol and crunchy wild berries mingled with hints of coniferous forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, it's pristinely balanced and beautifully layered, exhibiting a vibrant palate that's deep, tensile and elegant, concluding with a mouthwateringly mineral finish. This estate is achieving things no one would have thought possible a decade ago.

94-95 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau de Fieuzal rouge 2022 Pessac Leognan Den Chateau de Fieuzal rouge 2022 Pessac Leognan beschreibt James Suckling wie folgt:
A crunchy and energetic wine from here this year with black berry, black cherry and crushed stone character. Medium-bodied with lively acidity and a fine tannin background.

92-94 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau de Fieuzal rouge 2022 Pessac Leognan Den Chateau de Fieuzal rouge 2022 Pessac Leognan beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
The 2022 Château De Fieuzal is brilliant, and this estate deserves more attention in the market today. Ripe red and black fruits, spring flowers, leafy tobacco, and loamy earth all emerge on the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a supple, layered, elegant mouthfeel and a great finish. I love its overall balance, and this could be a real superstar in the vintage.

Flowers, cigar wrapper, pepper, cedar, cocoa, spice, and red with black currants open the nose. On the medium-bodied palate, initially you notice the freshness in the ripe, sweet, cherries, with their elegance, lift and purity. There is a symmetry, and vibrancy in the fruits, finishing with a shot of licorice, cocoa, and plums that stick with you. The wine blends 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. 13.2% ABV. Yields were 32 hectoliters per hectare. Drink from 2025-2045.

93-95 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck Chateau Larrivet Haut Brion 2022 Pessac Leognan Den Chateau Larrivet Haut Brion 2022 Pessac Leognan beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
I loved the 2022 Château Larrivet Haut-Brion, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this check in near the 2020, although it's in a riper, more sexy style. Cassis, plums, chocolate, and earthy notes all emerge from this full-bodied Graves that has an expansive, layered mouthfeel, ripe, velvety tannins, and solid mid-palate density. It's going to benefit from just a few years of bottle age. The blend is 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc, and the balance Merlot, resting in 50% new oak, with a small amount in amphora.

92-94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Larrivet Haut Brion 2022 Pessac Leognan Den Chateau Larrivet Haut Brion 2022 Pessac Leognan beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
The 2022 Larrivet Haut-Brion offers up aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, raspberry, violet, orange zest, iris and ripe plums, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate that's supple, seamless and elegant, its succulent core of fruit framed by velvety tannins, concluding with a floral finish. A blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and 21% Cabernet Franc—the most significant portion of this grape variety ever used at this estate run by Bruno Lemoine—this is one of the most interesting wines that this estate has produced in recent years. It matured in 15% amphorae, 50% new barrels and the balance in tanks.

Broad and structured, but supple and sleek, with fine-grained tannins. Medium- to full-bodied. Hints of coffee beans and cedar. Solid finish. Bright.

Smoked, cherries, strawberry, smoked meats, spearmint, and cigar smoke create the nose. The wine is medium-bodied, elegant, soft, silky and refined. The finish is loaded with sweet, red pit fruits, with chocolate-mint coming in at the end of the refined finish. The wine is made from 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc and 18% Merlot. 14% ABV, 3.71 pH. Yields were 40 hectoliters. 38% of the harvest was placed into the Grand Vin. Picking took place September 6 - September 28. It is interesting to note that Larrivet was the first known wine of the 2022 futures campaign to be offered, and it was priced at a discount to 2021! Drink from 2026-2045.

Den Chateau du Tertre 2022 Margauxverkostet Christian Balog von CB Weinhandel in Essen für Sie wie folgt: Christian Balog beschreibt den Chateau du Tertre 2022 Margaux wie folgt:
92-94

Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Frische dunkle Waldbeeren, rote Herzkirschen, kandierte Orangenzesten, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, elegant, frische Kirschen, feine Süße, gute Frische, bleibt haften, ein ausgewogener Speisenbegleiter, sicheres Zukunftspotenzial.

92-94+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau du Tertre 2022 Margaux Den Chateau du Tertre 2022 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
The 2022 du Tertre unwinds in the glass with aromas of dark berries, plums, licorice, vine smoke and petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and layered palate of uncommon depth and concentration that nevertheless retains all the estate's signature elegance. Polished and supple, it's a blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, which more or less represents this estate's varietal breakdown after its extensive replanting program is complete. This looks likely to emerge as the finest du Tertre in several decades, and it is sure to be one of the better values of the en primeur campaign.

95-96 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau du Tertre 2022 Margaux Den Chateau du Tertre 2022 Margaux beschreibt James Suckling wie folgt:
This is really clear and bright. Medium- to full-bodied with a solid tannin structure. Tight layers of phenolics to this. Racy and long finish. Firm and focused. 57% cabernet sauvignon, 23% cabernet franc, 15% merlot and 5% petit verdot.

92-94 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Labegorce 2022 MargauxJeb Dunnuck lobt den Chateau Labegorce 2022 wie folgt:

I continue to love the wines from Labégorce. Their 2022 checks in as 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Classic notes of darker currants, blackberries, smoked tobacco, and fresh earth all flow to a medium to full-bodied, pure, layered Margaux offering quality tannins as well as terrific purity of fruit. Pulled from 85% of the total production and aging in 40% new French oak, it's going to offer pleasure right out of the gate yet still have two decades of longevity.
