Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau La Serre 2020 Saint Emilion :
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 La Serre is sporting a lot of cedar at this nascent stage, giving way to notes of crushed black plums, fresh blackberries and boysenberries with hints of sassafras, clove oil and mocha. The medium-bodied palate has a great intensity of fresh black fruits with ripe, rounded tannins and a lively line, finishing long and spicy.
James Suckling schreibt zum Chateau La Serre 2020 Saint Emilion Folgendes:
A medium-bodied red with redcurrant, berry and light chocolate character. It’s creamy and chewy. Yet, it shows polish and refinement.
Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau La Serre:
The 2020 La Serre has (yet another) gorgeous, sensual and very pure bouquet of dark cherries, hints of cassis and wilted violet scents, the new oak seamlessly integrated. It reminds me of the 2018. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent black cherries and blueberry and saturated tannins counterpoised by a fine bead of acidity. It turns quite citric toward the end, and although it might not quite deliver the persistence of the 2018, this is another fine La Serre that should give 12–15 years of drinking pleasure.

Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.
