91 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Labegorce 2020 MargauxDen Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
The 2020 Labégorce has turned out nicely, bursting with aromas of cherries, berries and licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and ample palate. Fleshy and layered, this contemporary-styled Margaux will drink well young.

93 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
A forward, textured, already delicious wine, the 2020 Château Labégorce offers lots of red and black fruit as well as notes of cedar, smoke tobacco, and chocolate. Based on 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged in 40% new barrels, it has perfectly integrated oak, ripe, fine-grained tannins, and outstanding overall balance. Give bottles just a year or three and enjoy over the following 10-15 years or more.

92-93 Suckling-Punkte für den Chateau Labegorce 2020James Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Labegorce 2020 Margaux Folgendes:
A tight, compact Labégorce with blackcurrant, walnut and some graphite. It’s medium-to full-bodied with a solid core of tannins and fruit. Some lead pencil. Very structured for this estate.

91-93 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Labegorce 2020Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Labegorce:
The 2020 Labégorce was picked 16 September to 1 October and raised in 40% new oak, the remainder one year old. It has a perfumed bouquet with brambly red fruit, wild strawberry mixed with raspberry preserve and rose petal, hints of orange rind emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, classic in style with a fine bead of acidity that imparts plenty of freshness. More black fruit on the palate compared to the nose with a saline finish, this is a fine Margaux that has a suppleness suggesting it will drink early after bottling.

95+ Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Giscours 2020 MargauxDen Chateau Giscours 2020 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:

This estate is now enjoying its finest run since its glory days in the 1970s, and the 2020 Giscours is excellent. Unwinding in the glass with deep aromas of blackberries, cassis, pencil shavings, rose petals and sweet, loamy soil, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a layered and seamless mid-palate, excellent concentration and powdery structuring tannins.

96 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Giscours 2020 MargauxJames Suckling beschreibt ihn im Januar 2023 wie folgt:

Fascinating aromas of blueberries, crushed stone, and blackcurrants. Very aromatic. Full-bodied with juicy tannins that are creamy and intense. Slightly bitter, burnt citrus character. This is very muscular with velvety tannins. Needs time to soften. Try after 2025 but will age a long time.

94+ Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Giscours 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Giscours 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:

The Grand Vin 2020 Château Giscours is based on 56% Cabernet Sauvignon and 44% Merlot that spent 17 months in 50% new French oak. It has a gorgeous perfume of pure cassis, graphite, and flowers that gives way to a medium to full-bodied Margaux possessing ample tannins, a layered, concentrated mid-palate, remarkable purity, and one heck of a great finish. It’s another beautiful Margaux in the vintage that will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and evolve for at least two decades.

93 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Chateau Giscours 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Giscours 2020 Margaux beschreibt Fallstaff wie folgt:

Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, tiefer Kern, dezente Randaufhellung.

Ripe but fresh and sleek in feel, with black cherry and blackberry puree notes gliding through, infused with sandalwood, bay leaf and black tea accents. This has a pleasant dark earth tint to the finish, though the fruit still holds sway. Nicely done. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Drink now through 2035. –JM

- Aromas of mulberries, plums, pipe tobacco and licorice introduce the 2020 La Gurgue, a medium to full-bodied, lively and fleshy wine that's open and charming, even if it concludes with just a touch more tannic bite than its 2019 counterpart. This is always among the commune's finest values.

93 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau La Gurgue 2020 MargauxDen Chateau La Gurgue 2020 Margaux beschreibt James Suckling wie folgt:

A medium- to full-bodied red with vivid dark fruit and notes of sweet spices and bitter chocolate. Polished and velvety with fine, plush tannins. Structured and refined. Lingering finish with hints of violet and walnut. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Try after 2025.

The 2020 Monbrison has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and subtle notes of kirsch, plum preserves and cassis, with supporting wafts of bay leaves, lavender and underbrush. 97 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Palmer 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Palmer 2020 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
Aromas of raspberries, cassis and cherries mingle with hints of violets, raw cocoa and hints of truffle in a perfumed bouquet. The 2020 Palmer is a full-bodied, layered and seamless wine that's deep and concentrated, with a vibrant core of beautifully pure and perfumed fruit, lively acids and ultra-refined tannins. This suave but authoritative Palmer is one of the high points of the vintage.

98 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Palmer 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Palmer 2020 Margaux beschreibt James Suckling wie folgt:
Great aromas of blackcurrants, black truffles, blueberries, lead pencil and hints of cedar. Full-bodied and powerful with fantastic tannin backbone giving it great length and power. Muscular. Toned. Flexing. This needs time. Best after 2028.

97 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Palmer 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Palmer 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
The flagship 2020 Château Palmer checks in as 48% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Petit Verdot that's aged one year in 50-60% new barrels before moving to foudre. It's another ripe, sexy, yet incredibly pure wine from this team offering loads of black and blue fruits, some iris flower, spice, iron, and obvious mineral nuances, full-bodied richness, velvety tannins, and a great finish. It's easily one of the most opulent, sexiest wines from the Médoc, and while it's already just about impossible to resist, it deserves 7-8 years of bottle age and will evolve for 40+ years.

96 Punkte vom Falstaff für den Chateau Palmer 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Palmer 2020 Margaux beschreibt Fallstaff wie folgt:
Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, tiefer Kern, zarte Randaufhellung.

97 Punkte
Vivid colours, and the aromatics grab hold straight away. This is intense and concentrated, elegant, balanced and classical, all about the texture which is velvety and seductive with softly-grained tannins. Moves oh so slowly through the palate with dozens of layers to get hold of. The overall feel is precise, slow and seductive, with appellation and estate signature at every turn. Sappy, hawthorn freshness, rosemary, redcurrant, tobacco, cigar box and dark chocolate shavings on the finish. 3.77pH, 78IPT, 55% of overall production, with 13% press wine.

94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux beschreibt William Kelley wie folgt:
The 2020 Brane-Cantenac has turned out nicely, offering up aromas of blackberries and crème de cassis mingled with notions of licorice, pencil shavings, violets and subtle hints of smoked meats. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with a lavish core of fruit, ripe acids and sweet tannins that assert themselves on the savory finish, it can't quite match the purity and sensuality of the 2019, but it's a strong effort.

98 Sucklingpunkte für den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux
James Suckling beschreibt ihn im Januar 2023 wie folgt:
Blackberries, plums, currants, tobacco and violets on the nose. Bitter chocolate and mocha, too. It’s refined and focused, with a medium to full body and firm, tightly-knit tannins. Very long, laser-focused and polished. Very classy. Best of the trilogy. Try after 2027.

97 Punkte von Jeb Dunnuck für den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux Den Chateau Brane Cantenac 2020 Margaux beschreibt Jeb Dunnuck wie folgt:
97 This estate has been on a roll, and their 2020 Château Brane-Cantenac is another brilliant wine that readers will love. Largely in the mold of the 2019, it has a deep purple hue as well as an incredible bouquet of blackcurrants, black cherries, freshly sharpened pencils, tobacco, and flowers. This medium to full-bodied, richly textured, concentrated, yet remarkably elegant 2020 has the vintage's fresher, focused, elegant profile but still brings plenty of flesh and opulence. Beautifully done, it’s going to evolve for a solid 30 years in cold cellars and offer incredible pleasure all its life.

92-94 Punkte vom Wine Advocate für denChateau Lascombes 2020
Die Degustationsnotiz des Wine Advocate zum Chateau Lascombes 2020 Margaux :

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Lascombes comes skipping out of the glass with bright, cheery scents of raspberry coulis, blackberry preserves and fresh blackcurrants, plus suggestions of pencil shavings, dried roses and charcuterie with a waft of bouquet garni. The medium to full-bodied palate has great tension and energy, delivering crunchy red and black fruit layers and a firm, grainy frame, finishing long with an herbal lift.

94-95 Suckling-Punkte für den Chateau Lascombes 2020
James Suckling schreibt zum Chateau Lascombes 2020 Margaux Folgendes:

Blackberries and spices, such as cloves and nutmeg, as well as licorice and hints of graphite. It’s full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins, yet they are polished and beautiful. Structured. Solid.

88-90 Punkte vom Vinous-Team für den Chateau Lascombes 2020
Das meint die Vinous-Mannschaft um Antonio Galloni zum Chateau Lascombes:

The 2020 Lascombes has a straightforward, delineated bouquet of gentle red berry fruit laced with Earl Grey and very subtle ash scents. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, fine acidity, cracked black pepper sprinkled over the black fruit and a little bluntness on the finish. I stayed with this sample for an hour to see if it would gain more flesh, but it somehow remains a little austere.
