Tiefes Granatrot. hell leuchtend. fruchtiges Bouquet nach dunklen Beerenfrüchten. Lakritze und etwas Kaffee. Am Gaumen zeigt er sich mit guter Komplexität und einer feinen Tiefe bei mittlerer Konzentration. Wunderbare Balance zwischen Frucht und Röstaromatik. Wird früh gefallen.

Chantalouette ist der 2. Wein vom Château de Sales die Traubenselektion ist nahezu die gleiche. dach dem Ausbau wird eine Selektion getroffen. Die Fässer welche eine langsamere Entwicklung versprechen gehen in den Le Sales. die anderen Fässer bilden den Chateau Chantalouette.

13 Jan, 2022 – Tar and dried tobacco with black cherries and blackberries. Stones, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with a solid core of fruit and a flavorful finish. Really tightly wound. Try after 2026.

The 2019 Certan de May has turned out very well, offering up aromas of rich cherries, cassis, loamy soil and creamy but nicely integrated new oak. Full-bodied, layered and lively, with fine concentration, powdery tannins and a long, penetrating finish, this is beautifully balanced Pomerol that no doubt benefits from the perspective of consultant Jean-Claude Berrouet.

This 6.68-hectare vineyard is situated between Trotanoy and Latour à Pomerol on gravel and sand-based soils. Average vine age is 34 years, and yields were 45 hectoliters per hectare. It is aging in 70% new and 30% second year barrels, where it will stay for an estimated 16 months. The wine has 14.9% alcohol and is blended of 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc. Deep purple-black colored, the 2018 Feytit Clinet is a little shy to begin, unfurling to reveal wild blueberries, warm plums and black cherries with hints of violets, iron ore. pencil shavings and damp soil. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated. it has a firm, velvety texture and bags of opulent fruit, finishing earthy. About 18.000 bottles will be made.

Proprietor Jeremy Chasseuil turned out another gorgeous wine at Feytit-Clinet. Although the 2018 does not have the explosive energy of some past vintages. in exchange it will drink well with minimal cellaring. Cedar, tobacco, gravel, dried flowers, mint, spice and incense build as this richly textured, layered Pomerol shows off its class. As always, Feytit-Clinet is one of the most virile, potent wines of Pomerol and all of Bordeaux, for that matter. The blend is 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc. Tasted three times.
